Undergraduate Student Program

     Undergraduate Student rotations are available during the academic year (September – May) for talented and dedicated undergraduate students currently pursuing a degree in the biological or physical sciences. The rotations are specifically designed for the serious student who desires a short-term but meaningful research experience.

     Students will work under the direction of a Stowers scientist on a specific project with defined educational objectives and have access to appropriate Institute facilities, equipment, materials and supplies.

     Selected candidates will have at least a 3.5 undergraduate GPA, be at least 18 years of age, and currently enrolled in a degree-granting program in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, chemistry, physics, computing, mathematics or a related field. Rotations are at least eight weeks in duration and may be extended by mutual agreement.

     To indicate your interest, complete the Pre-Employment & Certification Forms and submit with the following:

  1. CV with list of publications
  2. Statement of Interest
  3. Official Transcripts
  4. Letter of Recommendation from advisor
  5. Requests for Assistance (travel, housing, sponsorship) if applicable
